Community Engagement Coordinator

Marika is from Langley, BC and was born with Spina Bifida. She has previously worked as the Ambassador Program Coordinator and is now a Community Engagement Coordinator for the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay, Marika is engaged with all the Relay start of day schools and route schools, she is also the primary contact for the Relay information enquiry line.

Marika is dedicated to improving the life of others with disabilities. She lobbied city officials for an accessible playground, fighting for kids and parents in wheelchairs to have the same right to play as all families. Her passionate demeanour has helped her success as a motivational speaker sharing her story of how she overcomes obstacles in her life daily. Marika lives in Langley with her husband and son.
