Heather Maciver

Events & Planning Manager

Born and raised in the Nation's capital, Heather has lived in the UK and sailed the high seas aboard cruise ships before settling in Vancouver. Heather has travelled to more than 150 countries, 500 cities and has been to every continent at least once. As the Manager of Relay Events and Planning, Heather is responsible for, well, pretty much everything! She manages a team that plans the operations of the National relay community events, 25th Anniversary galas, receptions and many special events that will occur as the Relay comes to a town near you. Heather joined the Relay Team after her gig as Torch Relays Coordinator for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Heather is also the Relay Team "party captain" ensuring staff birthdays are executed with themes and special cakes, an exclusive duty of Relay Human Resources and office operations. Heather once taught line dancing to tourists, so naturally she loves to dance, especially with cowboys. Heather spends her spare time reading (a lot), watching romantic comedies, running, and dreaming of being a cowgirl.
